Safety and Quality ManagerREPORTS TO: Director of OperationsPOSITION SUMMARY: The Safety and Quality Manager will assist the Regional office, installers & field operations teams with quality assurance initiatives and the implementation of Sunstreet Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and federal, state and local OSHA requirements to ensure all associates have a safe environment in which to work.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand and support all Sunstreet current and future quality initiatives. Reinforce quality while in the Regional office and during community visits. Report to management team where there may be opportunities for quality improvement and consistencies in process improvement. Review and help implement regional and national quality/best practice initiatives, review new and current products, standardization installation practices. Review quality of construction through Salesforce reporting. Understand and communicate to the management team concerns which may be affecting overall performance and longevity of solar systems. Assist with day to day implementation of "office "and "field "related workplace safety procedures, programs, and policies to make the workplace safe and hazard free. Provide monitoring and oversight to ensure Sunstreet IIPP is being implemented by the division office, installers & field operations teams. Provide practical and appropriate safety compliance guidance to the management team including but not limited to Senior Field Managers, Directors of Operations and Sr. Vice President. Regularly report safety program status to division and regional senior level management. Occasionally interact with Lennar's National Safety Managers (NSM) and division associates that are assigned safety responsibilities to ensure alignment in policies. Attend and actively participate in the division's safety committee meetings. Monitor installers and field operations team timely completion and documentation of construction safety tailgate meetings, weekly safety inspections. Conduct yearly office safety/evacuation policy meetings. Assist in the implementation of company-wide safety training programs. Monitor and assist as necessary with the timely documentation of all accidents, safety violations, and unsafe conditions/activities. Provide guidance and oversight to Director of Operations with pre-qualification, selection and performance evaluations of installers. Assist divisions with investigations of safety related incidents and accidents. In event of an injury ensure that incident reports are completed and reported to Risk management, HR, and Director of Operations. Work with Human Resources team to ensure required safety orientations are completed for all new associates. Travel to division communities, installer warehouses, and conduct field observations to monitor implementation of IIPP. Perform all other duties as assigned.NOTE: This position outlines the basic tasks and requirements for the position noted. It is not a comprehensive listing of all job duties for the associate. Travel will consist of day trips to local communities/offices and overnight trips to other states that may last up to one week in length Detail oriented Must interact well with associates, customers, and trade partners Accept constructive feedback Team leader with strong work ethicPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Requires the ability to work most of the time outdoors in the heat and cold; work in multiple locations including confined quarters of a construction trailer, office and walking communities (finished and unfinished), sit and walk for extended periods of time, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read building plans, climb stairs, bend stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. This is a field position which requires operating a motor vehicle. Candidate must have a good driving record and provide their own transportation.
