The Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Immunology at the Gavin Herbert Institute, University of California Irvine, is seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Positions in immunology funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH). Research projects - The project will focus on herpes T cell immunity and immune-evasion, T cell epitope mapping, using a variety of immunological assays and biological systems. The study uses various animal models of ocular and genital herpes infection (i.e. HLA transgenic mice, HLA transgenic guinea pigs and HLA transgenic Rabbits) as well as samples from HSV seropositive symptomatic and asymptomatic patients. For more information visit our lab at: Requirements - The candidates must possess a Ph.D., or M.D. / Ph.D. in immunology, immuno-virology or related disciplines with peer-reviewed publications. The candidates should be highly motivated with the ambition and commitment to excel in a highly competitive and productive environment. Prior experience in FACS, Luminex, cellular immunology and/or confocal microscopy is required. Familiarity with animal models would be advantageous.
