Job Summary:This position will support LLUMC-MURRIETA'S strategic plan and the organization's mission to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ, while embracing the core values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Wholeness. Responsible for daily supervision of the Patient Access admitting/registration areas. Performs other duties as needed. Job Specifications:Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of hospital admitting function and medical terminology required. Working knowledge the fundamentals of financial analysis, basic credit principles, and collection methods. Demonstrated skill in independently identifying workflow, patient flow, personnel and procedural problems and implementing viable solutions. Working knowledge insurance verification and interpretation of coverage. Understanding of county, state and federal funding guidelines to ensure appropriate patient referral and subsequent reimbursement. Computer literate. Working knowledge of Windows. Experience working with hospital ADT software. Required Education and Experience: Two (2) years hospital experience in an acute care setting, required. Two years Patient Access experience, required. One (1) year experience at a manager or supervisor level. High school graduate required, some college course work preferred.
