Job Description
Edison Energy is seeking an entrepreneurial Human Resources Director who will provide HR leadership, strategic direction to Edison Energy that will optimize organizational design, development and maintain a healthy talent pipeline, seamlessly ensuring delivery of all HR life cycle and HR services (compensation, benefits etc.) and, drive performance and talent management to meet business objectives. Position will be a working leader, responsible for both strategy planning and execution of the essential functions of the role, including leading vendor relationships for HR Services.

As our Human Resources Director you will provide leadership and guidance to the organization in accomplishing its business goals. You will be a working leader, responsible for both strategy planning and direct execution of the position’s essential functions

Essential Functions:
HR Strategy, Culture & Execution – drive the creation & execution of the people strategies & plans that attract, develop and retain employees
Delivery of HR Services – to include Compensation, HRIS, Employee Communications and Benefits
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning – provide a range of consultation services to leaders on key strategies and initiatives to drive and enable workforce planning, talent attraction and retention
Performance & Talent Management – drive the achievement of business goals through objective & development plan setting, performance calibration and talent development
Employee Relations – provide guidance, coaching, direction & management of people and organizational issues
Employment Law Compliance – provide guidance & partnership to ensure compliance & consistency of applicable HR laws, policies and practices and needed training is conducted
Organizational Design, Development & Change Management – ongoing review of organization structure to ensure it meets the needs of the business
Training & Development – lead company efforts on needed training (compliance, mandatory, skills, knowledge etc.)
Employee Communications – lead plans for enterprise wide employee communications. Maintain oversight of Employee Portal and lead design & effectiveness efforts of its use
Vendor Management – provide leadership and oversight of all HR vendors to ensure effective, efficient and cost effective deliverable of services
Budget Setting & Management – establish HR budget and manage day-to-day expenditures to meet it

Job Requirements

10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a Manager/Director role
Bachelor Degree, prefer Master’s degree or MBA, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP or CP
Supervise, mentor and train direct report
Proven track record of leading core human resources processes, specifically employment, benefits, recruitment, performance management, compensation and knowledge of employment law within a geographically dispersed client group across multiple states
Demonstrated ability to communicate with executive management effectively
Provide cost conscience vendor management to ensure effective and efficient use of services
Ability to travel domestically up to 25%
Entrepreneurial, collaborative, fast-paced and customer-oriented
Excellent communication, interpersonal and coaching skills
Strong organizational, time management and technology skills
Ability to analyze and evaluate the needs of the organization and the employees
