**Job Summary:**
Under general supervision by the
RN, the Patient Care Tech is responsible for providing basic nursing care for
in-patients and out-patients as needed, within their specified area(s) (see
below). The Patient Care Tech is responsible for collecting and reporting
of information to the supervising RN and completion of all patient care related
documentation. Consistently demonstrates behaviors that model the SJHS
core values and the Hospital s mission statement.
**Position Qualifications:**
+ High schoolgraduate or GED and for hires after 10/31/16, completion of a CNA programor completion of first semester nursing program or EMT program completionfor hires to Emergency Services
+ Experience withbasic data entry and computer skills on MS Windows based PC system
**License / Certification:**
+ Current AHAHealthcare provider BLS certification. Hires after 10/31/16 requirecurrent CNA license or completion of first semester nursing program or EMTfor Emergency Services
**Preferred PositionQualifications:**
+ One year ofacute patient care experience or six months experience in a direct patientcare environment.
+ EKG training
