POSITION OVERVIEW As a Systems Engineer, Level I with Cal Net Technology Group, the tactical objectives will be, but not limited to areas of responsibilities such as: Administer end-user workstations and support end-user activities utilizing TCP/IP on a primarily Microsoft based local area network (LAN) Investigate user problems and identify their source; determine solutions; tests and implement solutions Install, configure and maintain PC's, Windows Networks, Apple Workstations, file servers, network cabling and other related equipment, devices and systems Microsoft Office Productivity Suites and/or Apple product EXPERTISE ie, iPad, iMac, iPhone Mac OS Integration, Mac OS Management All Windows desktop and server operating systems Good understanding of Active Directory, Group Policies Microsoft Exchange Server Microsoft Office 365 Cloud productivity tools such as Google Apps, Office 365, etc. Basic networking knowledge/hands on experience with products such as Cisco, HP, Juniper Basic understanding of network security products from Cisco, Sonicwall, Juniper, RSA VMWare and Hyper-V virtualization platforms Backup products such as Symantec, Veeam, Infrascale, Datto SAN Storage experience with HP, EMC, NetAPP, both fiber and iSCSI Enterprise Anti-Virus platforms such as Symantec, Trend, ESET, Webroot, etc. All Microsoft Office Productivity Suites OR Apple product EXPERTISE ie, iPad/iMac/iPhone Mac OS Integration / Mac OS Management Maintain confidentiality with regard to information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network Provide troubleshooting and repair support Assess client's network, hardware and system support needs on a continual basis and make recommendations Conduct installation of new resources (hardware, software, etc.) Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource Design customer solutions to address expressed business needs and goals Perform network readiness and telephony assessments Assist internal teams with inquiries regarding new and current network deployments and reconfigurations Responsible for providing escalation technical support and supplemental training to Clients and Cal Net staff Qualifications Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record and knowledge of IT systems. Must be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Highly organized, analytical, creative and adaptive with exceptional verbal communication, written skills and thrive in a team oriented environment. Ability to work at a Cal Net Technology Group Office located in either Chatsworth or Costa Mesa. -This is a local opportunity and NOT a remote based position.
