Position Summary Work closely with Business Analysts and End Users to design, develop, test, and implement Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Forms, Enhancements and Workflow in SAP to effectively meet business goals and objectives. This position will provide Business As Usual end user support as well as developing new programs to support additional SAP application roll outs and new business requirements. Position Responsibilities Takes a lead role in developing appropriate SAP solutions for new implementation projects by (45%) Develop ABAP code to support development of Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Forms as well as develop Queries and Workflow.Writing clear, complete functional and technical specificationsContributing to team members through all implementation efforts, including design, build, test, documentation, and go-live activitiesOversight of development work for contract programmers and offshore programmers Support Best Practices and ensure full audit compliance by (10%) Documentation and enhancement of development standards, change management processes and technical support requirements and procedures.Maintaining and enhancing of technical competencies in emerging technologies related to SAP.Technical cross training with colleagues Provides ongoing Business as Usual (BAU) support across the FI, CO, MM, PP, SD and APO applications by (45%) Becoming completely familiar with existing SAP design and enhancementsAnalyzing problem tickets and change requests and determining appropriate solutionsDeveloping new capabilities as needed and working with Business Analysts to modify and test programs and ensuring adequate end user testing and acceptance of all changes Quantitative Dimensions Decision Making: The Senior ABAP Programmer Analyst regularly participates in the brainstorming process to develop effective and efficient system design decisions. Based on knowledge of programming principles, best practices, and SAP capabilities, this person recommends appropriate solutions to business issues. Lead Responsibilities: While having no direct supervisory responsibilities, strong leadership skills are required to effectively participate in and facilitate work groups, consisting of various combinations of business users, developers and Business Analysts through project and development activity. In problem solving activities this person is expected to provide direction to others in identifying root causes and developing appropriate solutions. Scope of Position: This person will spend a majority of his / her time performing analysis, troubleshooting, and developing effective solutions to business requirements, receiving input from the SAP Business Analysts and Business Users. This also includes collaboration with other Programmer Analysts, BW, PMO and Basis resources. We operate in a highly collaborative environment where each individual contributor is also responsible to assist all team members with work load balancing and problem analysis and resolution Position Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Required: Senior level experience 8-10 years in ABAP development. Must be experienced in BAPI, BADI, BTE, FI Substitutions, IDOC, EDI, ALV, SAP Script, SmartForms, RFCs, WebDynpro, LSMW, SAP Query, BRF+, SD User exit, CMOD/SMOD, Workflow, CIF, Explicit and Implicit Enhancement developing interactive reports, interfaces and dialog programs in SAP ECC 6.0Object Oriented ProgrammingFamiliar with SAP ASAP MethodologyABAP Certification desiredDemonstrated experience in architecting, configuring and implementing SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP NetWeaver 7.31, and SAP application modules.Strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skillsAbility to translate functional requirements into technical terms relevant to SAP to develop and assist with detailed technical designStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goalsTeamwork / collaboration expertise with experience in taking a leadership role in team / project activitiesProven ability to research and assess potential SAP solutions in support of new business requirementsDemonstrated ability to analyze and provide effective problem solving of Business as Usual requirements, assessing whether standard functionality can be used and identifying reasonable custom solutions where needed.Understanding of full life cycle ASAP or other development methodologyDemonstrated ability to remain effective and productive in a fast-paced and changing environmentAbility and willingness to travel on occasion Education/Experience: Required: 8+ years of SAP ABAP Development experience (ECC 6.0)Minimum of 3 full life-cycle implementations of SAP - must include requirements gathering, preparation of functional and technical specifications, unit and integration testing2+ years experience in production support environment requiredBS/BA degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance or related fieldAdditional experience with JDA software, EDI/IDOC, Query, oData Services, Screen Personas, Testing Tool software, Winshuttle, FIORI, Informatica, Solution Manager, BW/BI, MM, PP, SD, FI, CO and APO a plus Competencies: Decision Making: Identifying and understanding issues; problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills: Having achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skills in SAP ABAP Development; keeping up with current developments and trends in SAP applicationsBuilding Partnerships: Identifying opportunities and taking action to build strategic relationships between Business Systems and End User departments to help achieve business goals.Stress Tolerance: Maintaining stable performance under pressure or opposition (such as time pressure, or conflicting priorities); handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and to the organization.Initiating Action: Taking prompt action to accomplish objectives; taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required; being proactive.Communication: Clearly conveying information and ideas to individuals or groups in a manner that helps them to clearly understand issues and recommendations.Negotiation: Effectively exploring alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties.Gaining Commitment: Using appropriate interpersonal styles and techniques to gain acceptance of ideas or plans; modifying ones own behavior to accommodate tasks, situations and individuals involved.
