Job Description Position Specification: The Senior Accountant is responsible for daily, weekly and monthly tasks, ad hoc reports and financial analyses, assisting in the financial close, reporting and analysis of performance, including resolution of accounting issues and maintenance of an adequate system of internal controls and will report to the US Accounting Manager. Responsibilities: Ensure financial records are properly maintained in accordance with US GAAP. Perform standard month end balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations; and prepare the appropriate journal entries. Perform daily/weekly tasks such as postings for banking activity, daily cash activity detail for US and summary for global cash. Ownership of Fixed Assets analysis and reconciliation. Provide management reports and performance analysis, following up on significant variances. Assist in providing information requested by the external auditors. Key contributor to proposing and driving improvements to monthly financial close process. Skills: The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic team player, who seeks responsibility, is highly analytical and inquisitive, with a keen attention to detail. The candidate must be committed to understanding the business and able to work in a collaborative environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Candidate must have a strong work ethic and excel in a fast-paced environment. Requirements: -A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. -3-5 years of public accounting and/or private industry experience. -Advanced Excel skills including, V-lookup and Pivot Tables. -Experience with Netsuite is a plus. -Previous roles should include audit, operational accounting, or general ledger accounting, including data-heavy reconciliations. -Strong understanding of financial and operational controls.
