Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Quarterly Review/Annual Audit: Coordinate with Financial Accounting and external auditors on the audits of ongoing businesses and annual external audit process, quarterly reviews for all legal entities including: Coordinate consolidation process with Financial Accounting. External Reporting: Drafting of financial statements (I/S, B/S, CF, etc.) Preparing supporting tables/schedules to Notes to Financial Statements and Management’s Discussion and Analysis. Accounting Research/Implementation: Research current accounting and reporting issues, trends and policies to be applied to applicable transactions. Stay current with all accounting and reporting requirements, which impact external reporting including: Assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of accounting and reporting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC and Sarbanes-Oxley. Other Activities/Special Projects: Represent Financial Reporting on the consolidation and reporting software including significant participation in the design and implementation projects No direct reports Continuously evaluate accounting processes and reporting, identify opportunities for improvement Review and supervise the work performed by team Education and Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant preferred Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong accounting skills, strong writing skills, and knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting. Understanding and knowledge of accounting/auditing theory/practices, technical research, and financial analysis and reporting. Knowledge and understanding of internal controls, general accounting (G/L, A/R, A/P, etc.), and operational accounting (revenue, volumes, etc.). Sound judgment and strong reasoning with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to conceptualize and assimilate data and present proposals in a clear and concise manner. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments. Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation. Good interpersonal and communication skills within all levels of the organization. Adapt effectively to new and changing environment. Possess the ability to understand and analyze flow of data between various financial systems. Systems aptitude and process orientation; strong computer skills essential, including extensive use of Ability to work required overtime during critical periods, such as quarter/year end reporting or special projects.
